Kennedy Returns to Practice

By Jason Seidling
Penguins forward Tyler Kennedy returned to the ice Saturday when he joined teammates Sergei Gonchar and Marc-Andre Fleury for the team's optional morning skate. Head coach Dan Bylsma said after that Kennedy is still listed as day-to-day and will again sit when the Penguins host the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.

"It has not changed," Bylsma said of Kennedy's status. "He is still day-to-day and progressing ... He was not 100 percent in terms of going all out."

"I felt pretty good out there," Kennedy said.

He then offered a polite, "no comment," when asked if the injury was still sore and if sitting out Saturday's contest was precautionary.

Kennedy has missed the past two games against Montreal on Wednesday and Columbus on Friday due to the undisclosed injury. In 11 games Kennedy ranks second (tied) on the team behind Sidney Crosby with five goals, while ranking tied for the top spot in the league with three game-winning scores.
